4 Vices

I can’t remember a day since I was young
That I didn’t have a test or trial to overcome
The time these days seem to roll on by
Like Merle Haggard once said in a country song
It’s in a room with neon lights that I belong
And an old bartender telling lie after lie
Where there’s lots of lovely ladies with their jeans so tight
And if you run your mouth you’re looking for a fight
But just like Hank Jr., this country boy can survive
Where the barstools feel like a lazy boy chair
And I love the smell of smoke in a sexy woman’s hair
And it’s these 4 Vices that help keep me alive

CHORUS
Beer, booze, woman and smoke
That keep me rolling on through life’s cruel bad joke
And any one or more of the four, seem to take me back to where I’ve been before
My beer, booze, women and smoke

(SOLO)

Well if you can by me a shot I’ll damn well do it
Cause when life’s got me down I like to drink my way through it
So take or leave it that’s just the way I am
Where the rounds come one after another
Jeager, Jack, Jim Beam among others
Cause these 4 Vices and me go hand and hand

Chorus
Beer, booze, woman and smoke
That keep me rolling on through life’s cruel bad joke
And any one or more of the four, seem to take me back to where I’ve been before
My beer, booze, women and smoke
